Meet HAMPI YURA Botanical Perfume Waters

Inspired by this season of renewal, I thought it might be fun to share where I am in the creation of my botanical perfume waters — developed as part of my second-year phytotherapy studies. To my surprise, I have already received interest and a few orders from around the world, which has inspired me to continue exploring new plant allies, their medicinal aroma therapeutic properties, while refining the labeling and packaging design, and considering the necessary regulatory steps for online and retail availability.

HAMPI YURA is born from a deep reverence for Mother Earth and the plant kingdom, honoring the ancient intelligence, wisdom, and healing held within each plant ally for the well-being of humanity and our world. It is an offering rooted in the essence of the Earth — a tribute to ancestral wisdom traditions that invite connection, experience, and learning. HAMPI YURA may be used as natural botanical perfumes, energetic mists, and for ritual cleansing, blessing, and ceremonial practices. Each expression is 100% botanical and natural, created with deep gratitude for the authentic lineages from which it emerges, bringing these teachings into a modern context to inspire and guide their presence today.

The name HAMPI YURA originates from the Andean Quechua language: hampi meaning “healing” or medicine, and yura referring to “plants” or vegetation. Together, the name reflects the healing power of plants. Within the Andean wisdom and medicine traditions, hampi is often spoken in prayers, healings, and ceremonies. The word hampiq refers to a healer, herbalist, and medicine person — one who works with plant medicines, plant spirits, and the energies of the Earth and the cosmos to bring healing to individuals and the wider community.

HAMPI YURA draws upon sacred words through TIKARI (Quechua) and TAYPI (Aymara), reflecting profound wisdom and elevated energetic qualities, while holding deep respect for the traditional healers and communities who have preserved their traditions and lineages across generations. When shaping the names and intentions behind these formulations, I was already familiar with Tikari — a blooming and renewal ceremony I learned from Master Puma Fredy Quispe Singona. Along the way, the word Taypi found me, and only recently did I learn from Master Wilbert Salas Atasi that Taypikala means “Center Stone.” It was once the name of the ancient city of Tiwanaku — an important spiritual and astronomical center of the Tiwanaku and Aymara civilizations near Lake Titicaca. This is a place that had called to me long before I stepped onto the shamanic path. It is always fascinating how these sacred places find their way back to you in unexpected ways, as if guided by something beyond our understanding.

About TIKARI

TIKARI, meaning “to bloom” in Quechua, is an invitation to renewal, balance, and inner openness. This luminous floral essence gently awakens the heart, supporting relaxation, harmony, and a subtle sense of well-being, guiding you to step into your natural flow, like petals unfolding to the light of the sun. Composed of delicate floral botanical essences, TIKARI reveals a light, fresh, and uplifting aromatic profile. The composition is carefully balanced to capture the beauty of flowers without becoming overly sweet, resulting in a refined and elegant scent that feels both soft and expansive. The blend unfolds through the heart-opening tenderness of Damask rose and gardenia, deepened by the sensual calm of ylang-ylang and the meditative depth of blue lotus. Rosewood and lavender weave gentle harmony and restoration, while vetiver offers grounding and stability. Bright notes of bergamot uplift the composition, and mimosa adds a soft, warm embrace. Together, these plant allies create a bright, flowering, and invigorating fragrance, bringing a sense of light, warmth, and vitality into your energetic field. TIKARI is a subtle yet radiant expression of blooming — a reminder of the inner strength and beauty that arises when we come back into alignment with ourselves and nature.

About TAYPI

TAYPI, meaning “the center” in Andean cosmology, is a mystical grounding botanical essence that supports energetic purification, mental clarity, and a return to your natural center. This warm, woody, and subtly smoky aroma offers a sense of energetic renewal, inner calm, presence, and introspective strength, guiding you back into balance. Composed of botanical essences traditionally used in ritual and ceremonial contexts, TAYPI evokes a feeling of spiritual connection and quiet inner contemplation, creating a space for release, restoration, and rebalancing of the energetic field. Rooted in sacred woods and resins, the blend unfolds through the cleansing and stabilizing depth of palo santo, frankincense, and cedarwood, opening a space for reflection and connection. Cabreuva and labdanum add warmth and richness, while tobacco brings an ancestral, earthy presence. Subtle spices of cardamom and black pepper awaken the senses, gently activating and clarifying, as lavender softens and harmonizes the whole. Together, these plant allies create a deep, warm, balsamic, and enveloping fragrance that anchors the body and invites a return to center — steady, grounded, and quietly powerful.
